The following is a list of acts authorized and unauthorized in Illinois. We can only perform state-compliant acts for you.

Authorized Acts in Illinois

• Jurats;
• Acknowledgments;
• Oaths and Affirmations Without Signature;
• Verification Upon Oath and Affirmation;
• Depositions and Affidavits;
• Signature Witnessing or Attestation;
• Proof of Execution by Subscribing Witness.
• Limited Immigration Assistance Forms (completing immigration forms; performing required translations on immigration forms; performing a notarization; obtaining a document needed to complete an immigration form; all tasks related to a single application)

Unauthorized acts in Illinois

• Certified Copies – Birth, Death, Marriage Certificates, Divorce Decrees, and other vital records. 
• Copy Certification - a signed written declaration made by the document owner/holder that is a true copy of the original.
• Weddings

We provide professional real estate services through Real People Realty brokerage. You can benefit from having us as your broker, who is also knowledgeable in the documents involved with the loan signing process associated with purchasing your home. 

Our Service Limitations 

Illinois laws pertaining to Notaries Public in 5 ILCS 312/6-104(b) states:

"A Notary Public shall not acknowledge any instrument in which the notary's name appears as a party to the transaction."

A NNA's "code of conduct" principle also confirms that:

"The Notary Signing Agent will not provide signing services for a transaction in which the NSA or NSA's close relative is directly or indirectly involved as a party."

In other words, we can be your broker for one transaction and your loan signing agent for a completely different real estate transaction, but we will never represent you both in the same transaction.
